Hello.

I'm an illustrator based in London.
I produce imagery for my own prints and products as well as for clients. I'm interested in the geometry and patterns of nature and I'm inspired by times in history when science, art, magic and religion were almost the same thing. There's also a trashy, B-movie style fascination there for all things wierd and spooky!

I studied illustration at the University of Brighton and I primarily learned to love looking. I found I could see something strange and funny all the time, all around. I've worked in a variety of different fields; graphic design, film, web design, animation and I'm also a part-time kids DJ. Some of the fun projects I've done are filming and editing a documentary about the author Jasper Fforde, producing animated chalk drawings for the opera Dr Atomic and creating an illustrated souvenir and film credits for the Tapestry Goes West festival. Recently I went freelance to do more illustration and personal projects, and I'm interested in applying my images to different products aside from paper and print. I think art in all forms are linked and the boundaries between them are blurring more and more. There's lots of exciting things we can create by working across different fields and collaborating.

I also produce graphic design under the name Grey King, you can see some at www.greyking.co.uk.
